It was named after the ancient gemstone city of Alabanda in Asia Minor.
It has a great colour variation, from red to brown, sometimes purplish, yellow, orange, green, pink or black; it can be found in Austria, Afghanistan, Brazil, Sri Lanka, or in former Czechoslovakia. The red shades are associated with love, steadfastness, passion, connection with the Earth, and is good for quiet and composed persons, for those lacking courage and will power, however it is not advised for hyper intensive, hot-tempered, jealous, ambitious people.
It helps fight nervous breakdowns, neurasthenia, and infections.
It balances blood circulation, blood pressure, heart disorders, as well as venous insufficiency.
Green grossular garnet helps regulate urinary disorders and water retention.
Adopt garnet and it will adorn your finger or neck....until you get to know it better.
